Frascati Superiore is a really good white wine from Lazio region.
This Wine has ancient origins, and represents the oenologic image of Rome in the world: to this wine goes the merit to have influenced the custom of Rome deeply, nearly all the taverns in the past centuries was property of the frascati's winemakers, important therefore has been its role of social aggregation.
Optimal with cold appetizers, spicy first courses like Carbonara, "Gricia", Bucatini all' Amatriciana, or the famous "Carciofi alla giudia".
Also suitable as aperitif.
The wine has a bright, straw yellow colour, a delicately fruity bouquet and a young, vivacious taste. An elegant and harmonious wine.
Made with Malvasia di Candia 60%, Malvasia del Lazio 20% and Trebbiano 20%, the grapes are softly pressed and then fermented at 18°. After a suitable maturation period and a microfiltration the wine is bottled.
Doesnt like aging, drinking in the same year of production is best.
Serve at 8° - 10°C (46 - 50F)
