Breakfast is a very important meal we are constantly told. Children that eat a good hot breakfast do better in school and I think it just starts the day off right. But with both parents in most households working there is usually not enough time to cook breakfast. With a little pre cooking and preperation you can have crispy bacon and scrambled eggs in a hurry.
The night before, place the eggs in a blender with a little salt and pepper and the milk. Blend till fully mixed and put in the fridge.
Pre heat your oven to 400. Lay bacon strips and sausage links on an ungreased cookie sheet (line with foil if you wish for easier cleanup) and bake for about 20 minutes or until almost done. Drain on paper towels and place in a container in the fridge.
Set out jam and butter the night before, set the table and forget it. In the morning pour the amount of eggs you need into a pan and cook to desired doneness.
Place sausage and bacon on a paper towel lined microwave safe plate and microwave on high for about 30 seconds until hot and bacon is crispy. Make some toast and your ready to sit down to a great breakfast.
Assign the kids specific chores, like one does orange juice and coffee, another toast and bacon etc.
Make a melon salad and keep in the fridge for a nice cool dish of fruit for breakfast in warm months. I keep partially cooked bacon on hand for quick sandwiches and breakfasts all the time. It's so much better than the stuff you buy already cooked.

my local supermarket (Tesco) has just started selling oatmeal, its much better than Ready Brek or Porridge because the flakes are so tiny like little grains. its lovely with a swirl of golden syrup or jam. very warming and quick to make in the microwave
