That's always the seller for me, and of course performance. Trying to wash those without a removable crock is terrible. I can feed six easily with a casserole from mine. But I like that whole chicken's and roasts fit also.

yeah, im gonna try a whole chicken next week. A christmas turkey could fit in this one! (well maybe im exaggerating a bit now!)

i think i have to get used to the sauce/gravy not reducing though, i keep putting too much fluid in with the meat because im used to half of it disappearing during cooking

Yes you only need a little liquid with a crock pot. With a chicken I don't put any liquid in and when it's done there is a nice amount of juices for gravy.
