|
|
This is kind of foodie because it's olive oil, but it's the way you use it, in a rather unorthodox way.
My sister, Carol told me this, and i didn't believe it at all until I read the forums, now i'm trying it for myself...
Olive oil is great for your skin! I don't mean eating with it, I mean actually using it as a moisturiser. Apparently it eliminates spots, clears black heads and closes up large pores. According to the forums, you clean your face, using hot water to open your pores, pat it dry, then rub olive oil into your face. Then, using a hot, damp, cloth, wipe the excess from your face. I am trying this at the moment, and will post every day to give you the effects. Ordinarily I wouldn't try something so weird, but there were loads of people on this forum saying how great their skin looks, and my sister tried it herself. Her spots cleared up within 2 days, and she has perfect skin already! I am using Tesco Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which cost around £2.00 (I can't remember the exact cost and can't find my reciept, sorry!). |

I can give you more:
If you have dry and think hair, massage them for 10 minutes with olive oil. let sit for other 10 minutes, and than use your normal shampoo.
Olive oil is good to remove the sticky pine tree resin from your hands.
To polish bronze, use some olive oil, and then clean with a cloth damped with water and a bit of ammonia. _________________ In vino veritas! |

i tried it on my hair before, it was really good.
Im on day 2 of the olive oil "moisturiser." I gave my face a "sauna" - i got a bowl of hot water from the kettle, and put my head over it with a towel over my head for 10 minutes, then patted dry and rubbed olive oil into my face. Then i wiped it off with a hot damp cloth. My skin has been very soft all day, and my spots have faded already. I had 6 visible spots last night, and only 2 today, and they're really faint. So far so good! |

No worries Paula. Carol's boil is not from using olive oil, but the steaming would help bring it out.I used olive oil in my soaps for years and no one ever complained of a skin problem. _________________ A closed mouth gathers no feet. |

That's good to hear. Thnaks.
But... yesterday i had the worst skin day of my adult life! My skin was terrible, i had loads of spots, greasy skin so bad it looked like my face was constantly wet, and a boil arrived! My first ever in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!! I decided to stop using the olive oil, and today my spots have dried out, my skin is normal again, and i don't look like an overgrown teenager! I'm not going to use it again, but thats not to say others shouldn't try it. I might have been going through a detox stage, but i was too scared to last it out! I just want my boil to go now, yuk yuk yuk!!! |

That's just so strange. Thankfully your spots cleared up. Olive oil might just be too heavy for your skin type. _________________ A closed mouth gathers no feet. |

It could be something in the olive oil but I understand your fear. My Dad had beautiful hair when he was younger and he used warm olive oil and a warm moist towel to condition it. That was before I was born, sort of hard to imagine my Dad with a towel on his head like that! _________________ A closed mouth gathers no feet. |
