I was telling Kate about this the other day, it's a seriously bad excuse - up there with "My dog ate my homework...!"

I was reading on Yahoo news last week that the British Government actually believe (and this is a serious story) that obesity in Britain is due to the fact that slices of bread have got thicker! Seriously, what is going on in their heads???! They don't believe that the increase in convenience foods, vending machines and sugary snacks are to blame, or the advertising which is endorsed by the government, but because a slice of bread has become a little bit thicker, that is the reason Britain is fighting obesity! Erm, hello, is anyone actually there?! In my opinion, if this is what the government actually think, then (as Mike from Monsters Inc once said) NOW IS THE TIME TO PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These people are left to run the country, aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh help!

Paula,
If I tell you just a little bit of what is going on here, you will go and kiss all your ministers, get on your knees and say "thank you for your wisdmon!"

Well, If you would think of a NEGATIVE IQ, just think of Italian govern.
Btw, Italy is completely paralized.
Truck drivers are on strike since monday, there is no more gas at the pumps, no milk on the stores, big companies like FIAT, ILVA, are sending workers at home because they do not have parts.
Truckers are blocking highway's entrances, and main access to big towns.
And what the govern is doing? They talking about a new voting law..... Rolling Eyes
Go figure....

we had a big fuel protest in 2000 where the trucks blockaded the main fuel stations because of the cost of fuel. I remember queueing in my aunties car with her for 2 hours waiting for petrol, the whole country dried up! They were limiting you to a few litres per car, it was worrying because the supermarket lorries didn't have fuel to bring fresh produce to the shops and everyone went mad buying bread and milk! I think our government spend half the day asleep!
