ok, so it looks like my indoor garden is a flop they all have green sprouts, but nothing is doing anything!! The carrots in particular look seriously depressed. The soil is moist but not too wet, but the sprouts, although look a vibrant green colour, look floppy and like they're really bored!! They haven't seemed to have grown in ages. I think they're all dying _________________ Rain rain go away, come again another day |

Root vegetables can take a long while to grow. I planted some carrots in with my tomato plant and they are still very small. Carrots and the like need a fertilizer high in potassium. Too much nitrogen will give you lush leafy tops and small roots.
This article can explain the function of each nutrient.

No silly. Like granules or liquid you mix with water. Do you have Miracle Gro there? _________________ Life's short...eat dessert first. |

Plants need food and water too. You may get a nice surprise. Read the directions for feeding vegetables. Too much fertilizer is as bad as too little. _________________ Life's short...eat dessert first. |

Miracle grow killed them all I've thrown them out!!!! I have no idea what happened. When I threw them out though, there were loads of tiny little bugs in the soil... _________________ Rain rain go away, come again another day |

I doubt it was the Miracle Gro. The bugs are a puzzle though, did you use dirt from outside or potting soil in your planters? _________________ Life's short...eat dessert first. |

I brought soil from B&Q - a DIY shop (big chain over here). Maybe the bugs were already in the soil when I brought it? _________________ Rain rain go away, come again another day |
