Onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower etc grow in winter and ripen in spring. Potatoes don't like cold ground so better plant in early spring. The same for carrots. Peas like cool weather as well .Do a search on google for gardening tips for your area. _________________ A closed mouth gathers no feet. |

You ain't alone buddy. In New York they're thinking of building a skyscraper farm in the city. They call it the vertical farm. I don't know all the details because I live in Australia, the other side of the world. I stumbled across it on New York Times' website, you should be able to google it.
Maybe you could grow some herbs on kitchen window, you could pick um fresh and put them instantly to your master piece, perfect for that lonely lookin prawn on the barby.
Have a go, mate and good luck! |

Roof gardens are becoming very popular in the states. The flat roofs on commercial buildings are reinforced to hold the weight of the soil filled garden boxes. I have seen flower and fruit tree gardens, lawns and veggie gardens etc. _________________ A closed mouth gathers no feet. |
