Well here we are a week into the new year. 2007 holds lots of promise for me personally, and Guido. This is the year that come heck or high water, he makes the move to this side of the big pond. Finally we can start our life together, well together!
We also have big hopes for Yummyfood.net.
Guido has worked his fingers off on the tech end of things as well as posting recipes and ingredients etc. Guido laments that we don't have many members visiting, but I think they just don't use their login so we don't see them in the database. It would be nice to see those names though.
We are very homespun and make typo's and mistakes on recipes and for that we are very remorseful and vow to be more careful. This website does not have a big team of tech support, it's just Guido and myself and I have to stop editing or posting recipes when I'm sleepy! I hope our members and visitors understand. You can always yell at me in an email! Please if you notice a mistake in a recipe, bring it to my attention. Paulamathers pointed out that I had neglected to put the milk amount in my Banana Pudding!
We hope 2007 is a wonderful year for us all. Be healthy and happy, cherish your friends and family, smile a lot and hopefully others will smile with you. And most of all.....visit Yummyfood!

in the top email you say that people might not be using their log in often and therefore not recording as many hits as you would like. On my home pc i am constantly logged in, so dont have to log in every time i visit the site. If other people are doing this, could it affect the number of hits you are recording?

Not really,
when a user visits yummyfood, we count pages anyway, but we see tons of pages visited by "anonymous" and not by members.
if members do not login, the only difference is we do not know how many returning members we have and what percentage just never came back.

it might have been me who recommended you, i go on yahoo answers a lot! i had someone send me a message from there the other day, i was online when i flashed up at the bottom of my screen, but it went straight to my spam so i dont know who it was from or what it said Sad
