This is too much!
India

When dozens of chickens went missing from a remote West Bengal village, everyone blamed the neighborhood dogs.
But Ajit Ghosh, the owner of the missing chickens, eventually solved the puzzle when he caught his cow -- a sacred animal for the Hindu family -- gobbling up several of them at night.

"We were shocked to see our calf eating chickens alive," Ghosh told Reuters by phone from Chandpur village.

The family decided to stand guard at night on Monday at the cow shed which also served as a hen coop, after 48 chickens went missing in a month.

"Instead of the dogs, we watched in horror as the calf, whom we had fondly named Lal, sneak to the coop and grab the little ones with the precision of a jungle cat," Gour Ghosh, his brother, said.

"The local vets said the cow was probably suffering from a disease but others said Lal was a tiger in his previous birth," Ajit added.

I agree Paula. So if your steak tastes strangely like chicken......ok that was bad!

Ducks eat fish, plankton and algaes, bugs...and bread when thrown to them. That's why their eggs taste fishy. I'll stick to chicken eggs.

yep, me too. I tried making scrambled eggs with them but they just went creamy and weird. Chicken eggs are much better, and cheaper!

I hate when that happens! I have used quail eggs and they are nice. I've had ostrich egg, different bust still tasty. Duck eggs any way I've had them were terrible. I guess I have a fussy palate lol.

Quail eggs are quite nice.To hard boil them, place in a pan of cold salted water (1/2 tsp salt per cup of water used) then chilled, peeled and sliced and placed over crostini spread with chicken lived pate and a sprinkle of finely chopped red onion.
