I'm very excited because my daughter Erica and I will be having guests for dinner this Thanksgiving. While I have assigned a couple of dishes to my neighbor/friend, I will be cooking the bulk of the meal. As requested by my guests we will be having a mostly Southern Thanksgiving feast.
Now I know this looks like a lot of food, but everyone will be taking leftovers home and I won't have to cook for a couple of days after!
Herb Roasted Turkey
Cornbread Stuffing
Savory Turkey Gravy (recipe to be posted soon)
Candied Sweet Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole (ok not southern but a tradition on my table)
Cauliflower with cheese sauce (See Cheddar Sauced Broccoli recipe)
Fresh Cranberry Relish
Jellied Cranberry Sauce
Pumpkin Pie
Pecan Pie
Dutch Apple Pie
Southern Sweet Tea _________________ Life's short...eat dessert first. |
