I read this article on Friday

http://www.msn.co.uk/health/milk/default.asp?MSPSA=1

and it really turned my stomach, the thought of drinking puss really put me off! So i brought some soya milk. I imagined soya milk to taste bitter, like goats milk, or just not nice at all! I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit powdery but it made my tea taste like cookie dough! I was so impressed! I have definately converted, i didnt know most of whats written in the article, especially that drinking cows milk could leave you depleted of calcium, i always thought that you were to drink plenty of milk every day in order to keep calcium levels high. Plus, who knew that cows milk gives you spots??? oh my god!

Honestly, I strongly belive this is PURE crap.
Humans have been drinking milk since ever, and no one have still turned into a cow.
For years they said eggs are were bad for colesterole and soy was a bless and now they say is not true.
Wine and chocolate have been blamed to be bad for health, and now it's not true.
Hormones from a pregnant cow? On the global daily production how much milk comes from pregnant cows and how much doesn't?
I've been drinking a quarter gallon milk everyday for 45 years now and I'm still alive and never had acne.......

MUUUUUUUUUHH!!!!!!

ha ha! Very Happy ive never had a problem with it and iv been drinking it all my life too but i suppose when you think about what goes into everything you eat, you will end up eating hardly anything. they always change their minds about what is good for us and what isnt. i was just bored on friday and when i found this it grossed me out! are eggs not full of cholesterol? i always thought they were and eating too many is bad for you? there has to be some truth in the findings somewhere along the line, for example, margerine being 1 chemical element away from being plastic and butter actually being better for you than margarine. it cant be totally rubbish i would have thought?

It's scarry what type of information is fed to the public and what concerns it can cause. If we listened to and believed everything that is written about health concerns, most of us would live in a bubble. My thought is, that worrying too much about what we eat and drink can cause health problems! I am pro organic but I can't afford most organic products. I totally agree that we mess with our food too much. Eggs from chickens that run around outside are far superior in flavor and nutrition than those from caged birds. Cows need green grass and good hay to give good milk. In Italy food is very highly regulated so that there are not a lot of hormones and things in them. I notice the difference in the taste of milk there. But with all the hype, I still love my milk, pancakes without an ice cold glass of milk is just not ok in my book. Oh I also drink soy milk at times, love that too. I take it all with a grain of salt. Get plenty of excercise, eat a good balanced diet and don't worry about everything so much.
