If you have a lot of things to get ready, spring for pre-cooked bacon. Just this once.
Put the filter in the coffeemaker the night before — but don't add the coffee until you're ready to brew.
Impress guests by warming plates in a low oven. (Don't try this with fine china.)
Make individual fruit parfaits by layering sliced fruits with low-fat yogurt and maybe even a little granola.
Offer something extra for the coffee. If you have colored sugars left over from holiday baking, now is the time to use them up. Or serve flavored syrups or even liqueurs.
Put a swirl of cranberry juice in the orange juice.
