Whats Secretaries Week? I saw that on a program i was watching called "The King of Queens" too, and wondered what it was.
I couldnt find that program you mentioned that was on Bravo (cant remember what it was called now), and was a bit disappointed. Found a good program on UKTV Food though, it's called "Friends for Dinner". It's where someone will be entertaining on a specific night, and their friends/family will have nominated them for a famous British chef to go round and coach them. They usually end up making something totally different to what they usually make, or cooking in a totally different way. The one i saw on Friday was a man who usually takes all day to prepare the meals, but Ainsley Harriott went round and got him to make Sushi, which could only be prepared at the last minute. It was quite good, and funny to see the bloke getting really stressed out because his guests were there and he wasn't finished.
The new series of Hell's Kitchen USA hasn't started here yet, has it started there?

Secretaries week is like an appreciation thing, not all boss's do things for it, but the idea is take your secretary out to lunch or send flowers, something to show they are appreciated.
The program on Bravo is Top Chef. It's sort of like hell's Kitchen, where a bunch of chefs are given challanges and there are eliminations until one remains and gets their own restaurant.
No Hell's Kitchen usually starts in January here I think. I can hardly wait!

I'll have another look tonight, on Sky you can check whats on tv for the whole week with the on screen tv guide, so i'll check that.

Paula you hardly strike me as lazy, with all the cooking you do, and a small child and a job. Think of it as recuperation assistance haha, thats my word for little luxuries.

I dont see cooking as a chore though, i enjoy it and it relaxes me. I feel lazy sometimes though - i look at my ironing pile and think "i'll do it tomorrow instead" and then curl up on the sofa and watch "Murder She Wrote" or Gordon Ramsey Very Happy

I know what you mean and I hate ironing too!
I'm dying to start baking for Christmas but with this shoulder that may have to wait a bit.

I made a fruit cake last night while i was watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, i didnt realise how long they take to bake!! I love Christmas baking and i have some fantastic winter recipes to add - if i ever get my computer at home!!! I think Carol's taken to it quite well too because she's making everybody hampers for their Christmas presents in our family. I might attempt a gingerbread house one day this month too, if im brave enough!!
I have to tell you this because its really funny, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic or even the website. I book hotels for staff who need to stay away on business, i use the company credit card and the company rule (in the company handbook) is that i secure the hotel with the credit card and the staff member pays on departure then claims it back on expenses. One of the engineers stayed in Scotland last night and he rang me (about 10-15 minutes ago) this morning to ask why he had to pay for his hotel room. I explained to him and even read him the extract from the handbook. It turns out that he didnt realise this and didnt take his wallet with him (dont have a clue why). He asked me to tell his boss he couldnt come into work today because he has to wash the dishes all day and all night to pay off his bed and breakfast costs!!!! I was laughing for a good 10 minutes when i came off the phone!

I would love to make a gingerbread house this year now that I have a full sized kitchen, but with this shoulder I'm not so sure.
That story is hysterical Paula....that poor guy was serious wasn't he? I can only imagine his dismay! And dishpan hands haha!
