I learned a great cleaning tip using baking soda. To clean combs and hairbrushes, fill a tub( I use the bathroom sink) with hot water and add a couple of handfulls of baking soda. Swish to dissolve and add the brushes and combs. Let them sit for about an hour. Rinse and lay on a towel to dry.
