Chestnuts

I know you can get pickled walnuts, but can chestnuts be pickled? If so, whats the best way to do it?

I've never had pickled walnuts and Guido said to glaze the chestnuts! I don't imagine chestnuts would do well in pickling as they are a very soft meaty nut.

pickled walnuts are usually in the shops here around this time of year, although iv never had them myself. thanks for the tip - might have ended up with something not very nice at all then!!! Smile
