This year I don't have a thanksgiving menu to post.

My daughter Erica and I will be serving Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless and poor, the elderly and lonely.
For me, that is a recipe for love and caring. I've seen some hard times in my life, and I am greatful for what I have and what I have achieved. I still have far to go, but I'll get there. I hope that I can help someone along the way. If we all give just a little, it can add up and mean a big difference in someone's life.....

Well my plans to volunteer with my daughter to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless has fallen through. I will be working part of that day. My daughter and I will be delivering turkey dinners to some of the elderly residents in my apartment complex. Where I live used to be a retirement community and there are some very long time residents.

After this feast I won't need to cook for a week!

Herb Roasted Turkey
Cornbread Stuffing
Candied Sweet Potatoe's
Scalloped Corn
Cheddar Sauced Broccoli
Cranberry Sauce - jellied and whole berry
Fresh Cranberry Relish
Apple Pie
Pumpkin Cake

It was really great. Erica and I made the rounds with the dinners to deliver to seniors here at my apt complex. I did 15 dinners in all and the people were so greatful. It felt good.
We came back home and stuffed ourselves and the cat. Grigio is a turkey guy for sure (that's the cat).
