Doing an Italian project for school. Need to serve friends and family dinner (sister very scared of food poisoning) Need Primo/Antipasto, Main, Side (preferably salad) and dessert (no liquor, don't know about you but we have a liquor age limit over here).
Thank you soooo much. |

Well, i think I can handle this...LOL
but i'd like to ask first: " Do you want a standard Italian everyday dinner, or something like for a party, festivity holiday?"
According to your request, I would think of the second option.
Antipasto: Prosciutto E Melone O Fichi
1st course: Pasta e fagioli - pasta and bean soup
2nd course:Roasted Lamb Roman Style
Side dish: Italian Style Tossed Salad
Dessert: Tiramisu
Actually I can't think of something more Italian than this
NB. If you want something with fish, I have some recipes that are rather easy...
Ciao,

You can't omit it, but you can substitute with a very strong normal coffee.
If you do not like coffee, you can serve Panna Cotta (Italian cooked cream) instead. _________________ In vino veritas! |

Of course there are more soups!
Zuppa di Farro - Spelt Soup, traditional from Umbria Region.
Pappa Col Pomodoro, this is true comfort food from Tuscany.
Pasta e patate (pasta and potatoes), which is a dish from north Italy.
For the most traditional soup from Emilia Romagna region you can try to make Passatelli in Brodo
About translation:
Italian Tossed salad = Insalata mista
Roasted lamb roman style = Agnello arrosto alla romana.
If the lamb is not yet grass fed, it takes the name of "abbacchio"
Let me know if I can help you any further. _________________ In vino veritas!

Is pappa col pomodoro common? My teacher doesn't seem to know it. |

Never mind about the pappa col pomodoro.
Here is my menu, if you think it's a bad idea, please just tell me.
Antipasto: Prosciutto E Melone O Fichi
Primo: Asparago Frittata
Secondo: Agnello Arrosto Alla Romana
Contorno: Insalata Mista
Dolce: Semifreddo Allo Zablione con salsa di cioccolato
Bevande: Acqua Minerale
Just had to write it in Italian.
Thanks Guido |
