I just joined this site as I did a google search for quick and easy recipes. Upon looking through the recipes, they seems pretty complicated.

Does anyone know of a site with some "dumbed-down" recipes for people like me who are just learning to cooK?

I have this really cool cook book, it works for me and I'm just a kid. So what do you need?

Really just about anything. I'm married and we're a young couple with not alot of money and so the ingredients I have are pretty basic. I'm just tired of making spaghetti every day.

i think it depends where in the world you live - some things that are cheap for Kate to make (living in the USA) are expensive for me living in the UK. Everything that i have posted is easy because im no chef, just a 26 yr old single mum working in an office. the tourtiere pie is pretty cheap to make and yummy, salads, cornbread - once I found a cheap supplier of cornmeal, crock pot / slow cooker meals are pretty cheap.

Hallo Cyrillia,
I am sorry you did not find what you were looking for.
Pasta is usually very easy to make, but if you are tired of spaghetti, you can try some of our frittatas, or risotti. Also our salads are easy to make as well as most of our soups.
If you have any question or doubt about a recipe, you can use the forum and ask for help. We just love to help our readers in their cooking experience.
Ciao,
Guido

chicken with 40 cloves of garlic is lovely and cheap to make, and also the chicken liver pate - which you can freeze for a later date if you make too much

Cyrilla I'm so sorry you feel that way. I will be glad to help in any way I can. I always refer to learning anything as the dumb time, and it passes before you know it.

As Guido said we love to help. What do you consider difficult in our recipes? The number of steps? The terms used such as saute? I would love to tell you about some of the disasters I created when I first began cooking!
