Sour Cream Banana Bread

Introduction
This is a moist banana bread that freezes nicely. The sour cream produces an extra tender loaf.
Ingredients

3 very ripe Bananas (1 cup mashed)
1/2 cup applesauce
1/4 cup sour_cream
3/4 cup granulated_sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla_extract
2 Tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. baking_soda
2 cups all_purpose_flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking_powder

Optional:
1/2 cup chopped nuts

 

Directions
Step: 1

Mash bananas, add sugar and let stand for 30 minutes.
Add applesauce, eggs, sour cream and vanilla, blend lightly.

Step: 2Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to banana mixture.
Blend in sifted dry ingredients,stirring gently only until dry ingredients are moistened.
Bake in greased and floured loaf pan(s) at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
