Introduction

Wondering what to do with the dry leftover french or italian bread? I make seasoned bread crumbs to coat chicken or pork chops, put in meat loaf or meatballs or as a savory topping on casseroles. This mix makes dinner a snap, just coat the moistened meat or fish in  the mixture, no extra seasoning needed,  then fry or bake.

Ingredients

5 cups fine dry bread crumbs
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning blend
3 tsp sea_salt
1/2 tsp white_pepper
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic_powder
2 tsp onion_powder1 tsp ground oregano
2 tsp leaf basil
1/2 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese

Directions
Step: 1

[b]To make the crumbs[b/] Place bread cubes on a baking sheet and dry them out till very dry in a warm oven. Take care to not let them brown to much.Let cubes cool. Working in batches, process bread cubes in a food processor or blender until very finely ground. Place all the crumbs back in the container and add the cheese, herbs and spices. Blend  in a couple of pulses so that herbs remain visible.Store crumbs in a covered container in the freezer.
