Introduction
This is a sweet and spicy sauce, great on bbq ribs and chicken. I use it on meat loaf in place of ketchup. This sauce improves with age and keeps about 6 months in the fridge.
Ingredients

2 Cups ketchup
2 Tbsp tomato_paste
1/2 Cup molasses
1 Tbsp dry_mustard_powder
liquid smoke_flavoring to taste
1/4 cup olive_oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chile_powder
1/4 tsp cayenne_pepper or to taste
1 Tbsp sweet paprika
2 Tbsp balsamic_vinegar
5 garlic_cloves , minced fine
1 med yellow onion minced fine
1 tsp black pepper

Directions
Step: 1

In a saucepan heat olive oil.Add onion and cook over low heat until onion is pale golden brown.Add garlic and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add remaining ingredients to saucepan and simmer over very low heat, stirring often until thick.Store in a glass jar in the fridge.
