Introduction
I have an old cook book on how to make your own mixes and this is one that I like best. You can use buttermilk powder instead of regular dry milk to make a buttermilk mix.
Ingredients
10 cups all_purpose_flour
3/8 cup baking_powder (coffee scoops are usually 1/8 cup)
1 tsp cream_of_tartar
1 1/4 cups instant_dry_milk or powdered_buttermilk
1 1/2 Tbsp salt
1/4 cup granulated_sugar
2 cups vegetable_shortening
Directions
Step: 1

Combine all dry ingredients well. Cut shortening in using a pastry blender or a food processor, processing mix in small batches.

Store mix in an airtight container up to one month or freeze for up to 6 months.
This mix can be used just like Bisquick.
