CategoryAppetizers & Snacks, Asian
DifficultyEasy
Introduction
Make this in the morning and keep refrigerated.
Ingredients
1 slice of unwaxed lemon peel (about a quarter of the skin of the whole lemon)
1 large mango, peeled and flesh cut into chunks
1 tsp toasted cumin seeds
1 thumb-sized green chilli, seeded
1 small bunch of fresh coriander , roughly chopped
1 small handful of fresh mint leaves
2 tbsp full-fat plain yogurt
1 large bag of mini poppadoms for serving
Directions
Step: 1

Cut as much pith off the underside of the lemon peel as you can, leaving only the skin.
Roughly chop and place in a food processor or blender with the remaining ingredients. Purée until it is a smooth sauce and taste for seasoning.
Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until using. Serve with mini poppadoms.

Note:A poppadom is a very thin flat circular Indian bread that breaks easily into pieces.
