Introduction
If you can't find Ancho Chili powder, substitute 2 teaspoons regular Chili powder.
Below is the list of original ingredients. In experimenting, I like using 2 tablespoons of  brown sugar, and 1 to 2 tablespoons of syrup. To each their own. This works well in the oven broiler too. So you can enjoy it indoors and outdoors .
Ingredients
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ancho chile powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sea or kosher salt
4 (6 ounce) salmon filets
Cooking spray
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Directions
Step: 1

Prepare grill, heating to medium heat (Or use the broiler on the oven and place fish on the top rack) Same cooking times

Combine first five ingredients in a pie plate. Rub the fish with salt, and coat the  fish with the paprika-chili-sugar-cumin mixture.

Step: 2Place fish on grill rack coated with cooking spray (or on broiler pan for your oven) grill the fish 7 minutes. (You can turn the fish 3 minutes into the cooking if in the oven).
Drizzle the fish with the maple syrup and grill or broil for 1 more minute or until the fish flakes with a fork.
