Introduction
This is a very rich egg nog. You can make the custard base a couple of days ahead of time.Just whisk well before adding the cream and egg whites.
Ingredients

 

10 eggs,separated
1 3/4 cup granulated_sugar
4 cups milk ,scalded
1/2 pint whipping_cream
1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup light rum
1 tsp vanilla_extract
Fresh grated nutmeg (prefered) or 1/4 tsp ground
 


 

Directions
Step: 1In a medium bowl,beat egg yolks. Combine yolks and sugar in the top of a double boiler; gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a spoon. Remove from heat , add vanilla and chill well. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Whip cream to soft peaks.Gently fold egg whites and whipped cream into custard mixture. Stir in the brandy and rum. Chill several hours. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
