Elbow Pasta with Bell Pepper Sauce

Introduction
If you like bell peppers, you will love pasta with this sauce. The elbows will retain the sauce for a double pleasure!
Ingredients
12 Oz Elbows pasta
3 oz piece of smoked bacon
2 ripe red bell_peppers
2 garlic_cloves
1 oz butter
3 tblsp extra_virgin_oilve_oil separated
Parmigiano Regggiano to taste
Directions
Step: 1Cut the bell peppers in half and scoop out the seeds and membrane, wash, pat dry and dice them. Dice the smoked bacon. In a large skillet, saute garlic with 2 tablespoon oil and butter for 2 minutes. Remove the garlic add the bell peppers and cook on low heat until they are very soft.
Remove the peppers from the heat and put them in a blender, or food pocessor to obtain a soft puree.Put the rest of the oil in the saucepan, and sautee the smoked bacon for two minutes, add the bell pepper puree and cook on very low heat for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile bring plenty of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta "al dente" according to package.
When done, put pasta in a seving bowl,pour sauce over and sprinkle with Parmigiano.
