Introduction

To cook really great rice easily with no mess ups... use your microwave. Add a couple of teaspoons of bouillion granules, some herbs, a little tomato paste etc and you have flavored rice thats much better than you buy in a box.

Note: See directions for 1 serving.

Ingredients

For 4 Servings
1 cup rice
1/2 tsp sea_salt
1 Tbsp butter
2 cups  cold water or broth

 For 1 Serving
1/4 cup rice
Pinch of salt
1 tsp butter
1/2 cup cold water or broth


Directions
Step: 1

Place rice, water,salt and butter in a microwave safe 2 quart casserole with a lid (preferably glass). Cook on high for 15 minutes, (about 8 minutes for one serving) uncovered and stir once during cooking. When the timer goes off, stir the rice, cover and cook 5 more minutes on high.Fluff with a fork and serve.

I gonna admit: I'm not with the chef this time!
I do not like to nuke the food and i do not have a microwave oven...
Still damn old fashioned hard headed italian *wink*
