Introduction

Studies have shown that green tea is a very healthy beverage. This is a delicious way to enjoy it. I like the honey in this tea, but another way to drink it is with a pinch of salt. Sounds odd I know but give it a try.

Ingredients

1 quart (4 cups) cold water
4 to 5 slices peeled fresh ginger root*
8 regular sized green tea bags
1 cup honey , optional
Tropical or asian fruit for garnish

* Do not use the crushed ginger in the jar.It makes a bitter tea.

Directions
Step: 1In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add ginger root, cover and remove from heat. Let mixture steep for 1 hour.
Remove the ginger root. Bring the liquid back to a boil and then turn off the heat. Add the tea bags, cover and steep tea for 10 minutes. Add 1 quart of cold water and honey .Pour into a pitcher and chill.
