Time | 5 minutes | | Cook Time | 5-10 mnutes | | Introduction | | Bananas are good for you, so surely this must be too... well maybe not! | | Ingredients | | 1 tbsp butter , melted 225g ( 8 ozs) dark chocolate 4 large bananas 2 tbsp dark rum | | Directions | | Step: 1 | Take 4 x 10 inch squares of foil and brush them with butter. | | Step: 2 | Cut the chocolate into very small pieces. Make a careful slit lengthways in the peel of each banana, and open just wide enough to insert the chocolate. Place the chocolate pieces inside the bananas, along their lengths, then close them up. | | Step: 3 | Wrap each stuffed banana in a square of foil, then grill them over hot coals for about 5-10 minutes until the chocolate has melted inside the bananas. Remove from the grill, place the bananas on individual serving plates and pour some rum into each banana. serve at once with creme fraiche, marscarpone cheese or ice cream, topped with a little grated nutmeg. |
