Elephant Poo Chocolate Cake

Introduction

The first time I made this cake was for someone at works birthday. It was the hottest day of the year and it melted in my car on the way to work! My boss said it looked like elephant poo - hence the name!!! I was so upset because I was so proud of it, it looked lovely in my fridge :-(
The second time I made it, it was a lot cooler outside and it stayed perfect!

Ingredients

For the Cake:
2 cups granulated_sugar
1 3/4 cups all_purpose_flour
3/4 cup cocoa_powder
1 1/2 tsp baking_powder
1 1/2 tsp baking_soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable_oil
2 tsp vanilla_extract
1 cup boiling water

For The Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup cocoa_powder
3 cups icing sugar (confectioners_sugar)
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla_extract

Directions
Step: 1Heat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour 2 9 inch round baking pans. Stir together 2 cups granulated_sugar, 3/4 cup cocoa_powder, baking_powder, soda, and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and beat on a medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water - batter will be thin. pour into prepared pans.
Step: 2Bake 30-35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks. Frost with frosting.
Step: 3To make frosting -
Melt butter, stir in cocoa.
Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to a spreading consistancy.
Add small amount of additional milk if needed. Stir in vanilla. Frost cake.
