Introduction

I made this up last night and was amazed with the results. I don't know if this would be classed as a jam or a marmalade. It can also be made the conventional way if you don't have a jam setting on your bread machine.

These look really pretty in the jars.

Ingredients

8 Satsuma plums, pitted anc cut up
3 Cups Preserving Sugar ( or granulated sugar and 1/2 envelope powdered pectin)
3 Tablespoons Brandy
1 Tablespoon Butter/Margarine
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

Directions
Step: 1Put all ingredients into bread machine pan in any order.
Step: 2Select "Jam" setting and press start.
Step: 3Pour into hot sterilised jam jars, wiping the rims if there is spillage.
Step: 4

Screw the lid on, wait 10 minutes and turn upside down to seal. Process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes.

The jars must be hot or they will crack when the hot jam is poured in.
