| Introduction |
| This cocoa mix makes a great addition to a gift basket. Spoon into cellophane bags and place in a pretty mug, or spoon into a small canning jar with a decorative lid. Add a little cellophane bag of mini marshmallows and crisp cookies. For a real treat, tuck a mini bottle of peppermint schnapps in next to the cocoa along with my recipe for a Mint Chocolate Cookie drink. Candy canes to stir, a tag with instructions to make the cocoa and a pretty holiday napkin. |
| Ingredients |
|
2 cups granulated_sugar 1 cup instant_milk_powder 1 cup unsweetened dutch_process_cocoa 1 cup non_dairy_creamer , like Creamora ( Add 2 cups creamer for a richer cocoa) This can be used to replace the instant milk also for dairy intolerant people. 2 cups finely broken or chopped milk chocolate candy or chocolate_chips (use mint chocolates for mint hot cocoa) |
| Directions |
| Step: 1 | Combine all ingredients except chocolate candy in a food processor or blender and blend until very well mixed. Add chocolate candy. |
| Step: 2 | To prepage, place 2 heaping tablespoons of the mix in a mug and add 6 oz hot water. Mix well to blend. For Mocha Hot Chocolate add 1/4 cup instant coffee powder or espresso powder to the mix before blending. Or a little ground cinnamon for a Mexican style hot cocoa. |
