Introduction
To go with my savory pickled squash is this sweet pickled squash that looks just as lovely! Again, you can leave the squash raw if you prefer.
Ingredients

1 1/2 Pounds Butternut Squash and Pumpkin (Doesn't matter how much of each)
2 Small Onions Sliced Thinly
2 Garlic_Cloves , Smashed Open
2 1/4 Cups Granulated_Sugar
3 Cups Distilled_White_Vinegar
2 Teaspoons Mustard_Seed
1 Teaspoon Ground_Turmeric

Directions
Step: 1Peel squash and pumpkin, slice into thin spears. Steam lightly for 15 minutes with the garlic and onions.
Step: 2Place vinegar, suagr, tumericand mustard seed in a pan and cook until sugar has dissolved. Boil for 5 minutes.
Step: 3Add vegetables to sterilised jars and pour the vinegar mixture over the top. Seal the jars and process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. You should hear a pop when the jar lids seal.
