Introduction

Being from England, I love pie and mash! The only problem is, theres so much fat in pies. After watching a diet programme, I decided to try to make a crust with either no fat or hardly any fat at all, so that I could eat more! :-)
This is so easy, and can be used with any filling. You can also change the squash for apples for a sweet pie. It makes such a pretty crust, and very tasty.

Ingredients

3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Egg
1 Cup Cooked, Mashed Butternut Squash (peeled)

Directions
Step: 1

Place flour, egg and squash into a food processor and pulse until it forms a doughy ball. Use with your favourite pie recipe!

NB - Mushrooms can also be added to the mixture to make a more tasty crust in chicken and mushroom pot pie. If you do this, add 6 button mushrooms to the food processor, but you will need an extra (approx) 3/4 cup of flour due to the water content of the mushrooms.
