Introduction
We prepare fennel with this simple recipe when they are not nice looking enough to eat them raw, or in a salad. If you forgot fennel in the fridge  for a couple of days more than expected, then this recipe is for you!
Ingredients
4 fennel
1 cup bechamel sauce
4 oz mild gorgonzola_cheese, diced
2 Tbsp cream
1 Tbsp coarse sea_salt
Fresh ground black pepper
Directions
Step: 1Carefully wash fennel , halve them vertically.
Put fennel in a  large deep fry/saute pan, wide enough to fit 8 half bulbs flat in the pan. Cover with water and add salt.
Place pan over medium heat and cook for about 20 minutes.
Step: 2Prepare bechamel  and when done, add two or three tablespoons of the fennel cooking water.
Remove from heat and add diced gorgonzola. Stir well until cheese has melted.
Now add cream and put the pan back on low heat, stir well until you have a very creamy sauce (almost runny)
Step: 3Drain fennel sauce into a bowl. Arrange fennel on a serving dish.
Pour sauce over  fennel and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
The dish is done and ready to serve.
