| Introduction |
| I had forgotten about this recipe and how good it is .My daughter Erica and I made one last week . It's a nice, light and cool dessert that fits in well with spring and summer fun. |
| Ingredients |
| 1 2 layer white cake mix, the type with pudding. 1 large box of Jell-O gelatin, any flavor you like * 1 container Cool Whip or freshly whipped cream
* I find that the whole box of prepared gelatin is too much, but the small box is not enough. I make a couple of small dishes of jello for later and use the remaining on the cake. |
| Directions |
| Step: 1 | Prepare cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 9x2x13 inch pan. When cake is done, let it cool and then poke holes halfway through the cake with a skewer, or toothpick. As you can see in the picture, I wiggled the toothpick around to make the holes a little larger so the jello can get in better. |
| Step: 2 | Prepare the Jello according to package directions. Set aside about 1/2 cup of the jello to snack on later. Pour the liquid jello over the cake as shown. Cover and refrigerate until completely cold.
|
| Step: 3 | Frost with whipped cream or topping. Store left over cake in the referigator. |
