Here I have shredded two boneless chuck roast that started on the smoker and finished in the oven.
Pile this on sturdy buns or rolls and enjoy. | | Ingredients | | 3 pounds shredded meat, fresh cooked or leftover. Beef, pork or chicken
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup good quality cider_vinegar
1/2 cup brown_sugar , lightly packed
2 Large white onions , very thinly sliced.
1 tsp garlic_powder
1 tsp onion_powder
1/2 tsp sea_salt or to taste
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp liquid_smoke or to taste
2 tsp Creole_seasoning
2 Tbsp butter
1 can beer (1cup) | | Directions | | Step: 1 | In a deep heavy skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring often until slightly translucent. Meanwhile combine all the sauce ingredient except the beer. | | Step: 2 | Add the meat and the the beer and cook briefly. | | Step: 3 | Add the sauce and mix well .Simmer until thick. Adjust seasonings to suit your personal preference. Pile on split rolls and serve. |
