Introduction
I didn't actually think this was going to turn out to be honest because I have never mixed fruit with the milk before adding the ingredients to my yogurt maker. I used Tesco Value Natural Yogurt - which I have never seen in Tesco before (35p for a 500g pot), and Tesco Value bananas. I think this dessert probably cost (including the vanilla and milk) about 80p for the whole thing, so is a worth while recipe to try.
Ingredients

4 Cups Milk (I used semi skimmed) (1%)
1/2 Cup Low Fat Natural Yogurt (I used Tesco Value)
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Ripe Banana

Sugar or honey to taste (optional)

Directions
Step: 1Heat the milk until just below boiling. Allow to cool to luke warm and remove the skin.
Step: 2Pour into yogurt maker, and add natural yogurt and vanilla. Stir. Add chopped banana and stir thoroughly. Place the lid on yogurt maker and switch on. Leave for 4 hours.
Step: 3Strain through a coffee filter to remove whey and refrigerate overnight to thicken further. Serve.

I'm surprised also. My machine says not to add anything to the milk except the starter yogurt. I know you love frozen yogurt. Pour this into an ice cream machine, add a little heavy cream and some sugar, process as normal....yummmmm
