McVities Yogjacks | Status Approved | | Product/Service | McVities Yogjacks | | Category | Snacks | | Official website | www.mcvities.co.uk | | Price | 2 for £2 | | Review | | I was looking around in Tesco for some snacks for my daughter's lunch box, and came accross McVities YogJacks - a pack of 5 individually wrapped flapjacks with yoghurt on the top (described as Red Berry & Yoghurt Flavoured Flapjack). They were on offer at 2 packs for £2.00 so I brought a pack of Yogjacks and a pack of the same brand chcoclate topped flapjacks.
Per bar, these have 147 calories and 6.9 grammes of fat, 2.5 grammes of which is saturated. There is no weight of the bar on the wrapper, which I thought was a bit strange, but they are small, about the size of a "Fun Size" Mars Bar.
I found these a bit sickly because they were so sweet. The "Red Berries" taste was stronger than in some snacks - where they advertise they have berries, but you see probably one or two flecks of red and can't taste much! But, they did taste like they had a lot of sugar added. The nutritional value chart does say that there are 9.9 grammes of sugar per bar, which, I would say, must be about half the weight of the snack itself. I definitely preferred the chocolate topped flapjacks to these YogJacks, because the chocolate ones weren't as sickly / sweet. My daughter liked these but also preferred the chocolate ones. I don't think I would buy these again. |
