After looking around, I found this one on Amazon.co.uk (which also comes in blue). It was £6.81 with free delivery, and was the middle of the range, price wise.
The outer case is pink with a grey band where you unscrew the lid. The lid also comes apart, and hides a little fold away plastic spoon so that there is less to carry / forget! :-) It holds 1 1/4 cups of food and the advert boasts that it keeps the food piping hot until lunch time. Following other recommendations, I filled the thermos with boiling water first and screwed on the cap. I left it for half an hour whilst I made my daughters pasta and sausages with sweetcorn and peas. I emptied the water and filled the thermos with the piping hot food, then sealed the lid and packed my daughter's lunch bag.
As Keri has to be Keri, at morning snack time she was so excited about her new toy that she had to have her lunch at 9.30am! The food was really hot still and tasted fresh. She only ate a bit of it, then put the lid back on and went off to play. At lunch time, the food was cold.
I'm not sure if the food was cold because she opened and then closed the lid, or if the thermos just didn't keep it hot long enough. Maybe it was a mixture of both. I will have to try again to be able to give a full review, but at the moment, I am saying that yes this was value for money, and I would recommend buying one in order to give your kids a hot meal when the weather is poor. The brightly coloured outer casing is cool enough not to be unfashionable for little kids, whilst making the other kids envious that they have boring sandwiches rather than spag bol or mac and cheese!! :-)
UPDATE - After having used this a few times now, I am not impressed in the slightest. The "Thermos" only keeps the food warm for an hour!!!! By the time it gets to lunch time, my poor daughter had stone cold food. At first I thought that maybe she was opening the flask and letting the warm air out, so I tried it myself. I pre-heated the Thermos with boiling water, and after 30 minutes, I poured the water out and replaced it with more boiling water. I screwed the lid on tight, and left it. A couple of hours later I checked on the temperature, and the water was only luke warm. I am very disappointed with this, as what I thought was a good buy has turned out to be a waste of money. I shall be complaining to the manufacturer.
